Importance of Probiotics

Probiotics are "system friendly" bacteria. Probiotics help your body by supporting the absorption of key minerals and other essential system nutrients. Probiotics have the ability to modify the stomach's immune response and can improve your digestive functions by shortening or in some cases preventing certain kinds of infections. Probiotics can be consumed in pill form (Quantum Probiotics), or they can be found in common foods we eat. Examples of food containing probiotics include yogurt and some cultured dairy products. Several probiotic strains can alter teh immune system and enhance the body's natural defenses. Certain probiotic strains have ben shown to have a favorable effect on the immune system's response to stress by decreasing cortisol secretions.
