What Are The Best Sources For Omega-3

The best sources from Omega-3 are normally found in a variety of sea foods and vegetables, which will be explained in this blog. Omega-3 is called the miracle food of the 21st century. A large number of medical research studies have concluded that Omega-3 oil helps in the prevention of a variety of illnesses. For example, Omega-3 is critical in the prevention of heart disease. It decreases the risks of abnormal heart rhythm, reduces the levels of unhealthy fats in the bloodstream, and slows the build-up of plaque in the blood vessels. Omega-3 will help you maintain optimum blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Omega-3 is believed to reduce inflammation and can give relief to joint pain, migraines, depression, and autoimmune diseases. Omega-3 assists with healthy brain development and memory function.

Omega-3 fatty oils are found in many forms. DHA and EPA are found in certain types of fish. The best types of fish for Omega-3 include: salmon, mackerel, herring, lake trout, sardines, anchovies, and tuna. These healthy ocean foods appear to have the strongest health benefits. The recommended dose is two or three servings per week. ALA, another form of Omega-3 is found in flaxseeds, walnuts, and dark leafy vegetables. Our bodies can't naturally product Omega-3, so we must receive it from our diet.

Unfortunately, Omega-3's can increase cholesterol, both the good and bad kinds. Individuals with high triglycerides should consult with their doctor before taking Omega-3. Pregnant women, nursing moms, and children should limit their intake of fish. Eating foods rich in Omega-3 is generally quite safe.

For individuals who do not like fish, Omega-3 supplements are another method of receiving the healthy Omega-3 oil. People with cardiovascular disease should take about 1 gram per day. At higher dosages, Omega-3 could interfere with some medications and may increase the risk of bleeding.

If you would like to receive more information about Omega-3 and the supplements that Clear Way distributes, contact Talya Meldy at 310-391-2017 or email her at info@clearwayhealth.com.

Why Is Vitamin D A Key To Your Health

Vitamin D is essential for control of normal levels of Calcium and Phosphorus in your blood. Vitamin D helps your system with the absorption of Calcium and is the primary ingredient necessary in forming and maintaining healthy bones. In adults, this vitamin helps in the prevention of Osteoporsis and muscle weakness. Vitamin D protects children against Rickets. Key medical studies have revealed a correlation between low Vitamin D levels and children with diabetes and tuberculosis.

Vitamin D is extemely important for individuals with Thyroid issues. The ability or inability of the Thyroid to work properly is related to the presence or absence of Vitamin D. Vitamin D needs to be present at sufficient levels in your cells in order for the thyroid hormone to affect your system.

Vitamin D is recognized as the sunshine vitamin because the body manufactures it through the ultraviolet-B rays of the sun. Just 10 minutes a day of sunshine is needed to received the benefits from Vitamin D. 15 minutes, 3 to 4 times a week is also sufficient to receive this wonderful health benefit. Two forms of Vitamin D, D2 and D3, are important to human health. When exposed to sunshine, the skin synthesizes D3. Foods may be fortified with either the D2 or D3 form of Vitamin D. Vitamin D is found in fatty fish, eggs, fortified orange juice or milk. Many foods do not contain Vitamin D and supplements are usually recommended to make up for the deficiency.

Clear Way Health markets D3 Serum, which provides a rich, live source of natural Vitamin D. This product does not contain any fillers or toxins. One drop of D3 Serum gives you 2000 IU daily.

A word of caution-taking too much Vitamin D may cause a high absorption of Calcium, which may lead to Calcium deposits in the heart and lungs. This can also lead to kidney stones and possible kidney failure. Before starting a vitamin program, consult a physician.

If you wish to receive additional information about the proper use of Vitamin D, D3 or other health supplements, please telephone Talya Meldy at Clear Way Health, 310-391-2017. Your vitality is only a phone call away.

Our physical and mental energies need to adapt quickly to life's changes in order to copy with tension. Relaxation breathing techniques are available through meditation, DVD, CD, yoga classes, and hypnosis. No matter what type of relaxation technique you choose, learning a form of breathing is always a gift. We can use breath as a way to stimulate inner energies. By making sure that the air you breathe is effectively inhaled, energized, and exhaled, you can improve your health and bring life to all your physical movements and expressions. Using your core center, which is located near your navel, proper breathing allows your center to become a strong pivotal point for your physical, mental, emotional overall balance and control.

Losing Weight Through Colonics

The holidays are here. You've put on 10 extra pounds. You know that weight which you promised yourself that you would never gain back again? New Years is coming and you resolved to take that weight off. Summer will be here before you know it and you will want to fit into that great bikini or awesome swim suit, which you bought during the fall sale.

Changing your diet is the first step towards losing weight. Sugar, carbohydrates, soda, bread, fake tasty foods have toxins which build up in your colon. These toxins cause your weight to increase, believe it or not. By changing the way you eat (eating cleaner) our bodies get the appropriate nutrients they need to function normally and we have more energy to exercise.

Colonics can help you in the weight loss process. Colonics is the process of cleansing your colon by inserting warm purified water into the colon. The fluids are allowed to sit inside the digestive tract for a few minutes to soften hard waste. When the waste is flushed out of your body, all of the those excess unhealthy toxins depart with them. You weigh less and fell great. Colonics are a safe and effective way to reduce the excess bloating caused by toxic foods that are built up and by undigested foods.

Removing toxins from your body helps you to lose weight because fat is the body's main defense against those unsanitary toxins. If you clean your intestinal walls from those unhealthy toxins, you are taking that first critical step towards cleansing your body from storing those weight gaining waste products. With your intestines clean you are able to absorb healthy nutrients.

Clogged or blocked intestines translate into the body's inability to absorb the healthy nutrients necessary for our body to function normally. A healthy colon can create a healthy body. Even if you go to the bathroom regularly, it's shocking how much is stored up.

Probiotics and Children

Can a child benefit from Probiotics? Adding Probiotics or Prebiotics to a child's diet will provide a benefit in the treatments of viral diarrhea and running stools associated with antibiotics. There is a differencd between a Probiotic and a Prebiotic.

A Probiotic is a supplement or enhanced food that can be normally digested. A Prebiotic is a supplement or enhanced food that cannot be normally digested in the colon and can promote bacterial growth.

These supplements are able to assist in the overall health of a child, but MUST BE AVOIDED with children who are chronically sick.

Contact Talya at 310-391-2017 for more information about which Probiotic is best for you and your child.

What Are Antioxidants

Antioxidants are a group of naturally occurring compounds consisting of vitamins, minerals, and other key nutrients that are formed by the body and acquired from a large variety of dietary foods. Antioxidants protect and repair cells from damage caused by free radicals. Free radicals cause the disruption of living cells. Antioxidants when consumed in combinations act synergistically, which tells us we should not take only one antioxidant as a food supplement. Placing too much emphasis on one particular antioxidant may cause the full beneficial effects of a healthy antioxidant combination to be missing from your body. A proper balance of antioxidants will generate significant health improvements for you.

Antioxidants can decrease harmful effects caused by environmental factors such as pollution, radiation, cigarette smoke and pesticides. These unhealthy conditions form free radicals, which are harmful to your living cells. Our bodies can normally handle free radicals, but if antioxidants are not present, damage to our cells can occur. Antioxidants act to help prevent cell and tissue damage that could lead to cellular destruction and disease.

There are specific foods and vitamins that are considered to be rich in health antioxidants. Vitamin C foods (berries, strawberries, orange, kiwi, kale, red/green/yellow peppers, snow peas and tomatoes) are found to be the most abundant water-soluble antioxidants in the body. They have the ability to combat most free radical formations caused by cigarette smoke or air pollution. Vitamin E foods (broccoli, red pepper, papaya, nuts and sunflower seeds) are known to be the most abundant fat-soluble antioxidants you can put in your body. And beta-carotene (carrots, asparagus, spinach, kale, mangoes, nectarines, apricots, sweet potatoes, and tomatoes).

Consuming antioxidants boosts your immune system, which allows us to fight off colds, flu, and other serious infections. Those healthy foods (fruits and vegetables) whose colors are purple, blue, red, orange, and yellow are rich in antioxidants. Other antioxidants that might help boost your immune system are Zinc (red meat, poultry, beans, nuts, and whole grains) and Selenium (tuna, beef poultry, fortified breads, and other grains) and they will provide a healthy antioxidant combination for you.

Have your own personal consultation about improving your health with antioxidants. Phone Talya Meldy at 310-391-2017 or email her at info@clearwayhealth.com.
